Americans celebrate Thanksgiving on the 4th Thursday of November.

アメリカ人は11月の第4木曜日にサンクスギビング(感謝祭)を祝います。

We often eat traditional American foods, such as turkey, pumpkin, and corn.

アメリカの伝統的な食べ物をたべます。例えば七面鳥やカボチャやとうもろこしです。

Every year, the President of the United States is presented with a turkey.   They used to eat them, but since 1989 they pardon the turkey.  This turkey will not be eaten.  It is allowed to live on a farm.

毎年大統領は七面鳥をプレゼントされます。大統領はその七面鳥を食べていましたが、1989から恩赦してやることにしました。　　この運がいい七面鳥は人間に食べられることはなく、農場に放されます。

There is also a famous parade in New York, called the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.
